MARSHALL - Services for June Marie (Lanoue) Sovell, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday with a 4:00 p.m. CCW Rosary and a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue Monday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

She died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, peacefully at her son's home in Stillwater. She calmly passed surrounded by all of her children. June had suffered a stroke the previous Saturday.

June was born June 1, 1917, to Harvey and Hattie (LeBeau) Lanoue in Marshall. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. On Nov. 15, 1937, June was united in marriage to Maximilian Sovell in Marshall. They made their home in Marshall where they raised their nine children.

In life, June enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and caring for her family. Later on, she was an avid Twins fan who also found great enjoyment reading, playing cards, and taking daily walks. She loved traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

June was a lifelong member of Holy Redeemer Church. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Holy Redeemer School, San Lucas Toliman Mission, or Prairie Home Hospice.

June is survived by eight of her children, Myron Max (and Karen) Sovell of Westerville, Ohio, Gerald (and Kathleen) Sovell of Minneapolis, Judy (and James) McArdell of Sauk Centre, Ron "Nick" (and Ann) Sovell of Elko, Susan Allanson of Phoenix, Ariz., Randall (and Ruth) Sovell of Shakopee, Roxy (and Kenny) Moon of Marshall, and Paul (and Kim) Sovell of Stillwater. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald "Son" Lanoue of Phoenix, Ariz., and numerous nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maximilian; her youngest son, Timothy; one brother, Irvin "Buck" and six sisters, Pearl, Lola, Darlene, Doris, Ruth and Arloween.

Blessed be the memory of June Sovell who will be missed by many.
